The\u00a0ENDURE project<\/strong>\u00a0has reached a major milestone<\/strong> with the successful execution of a full-scale partial collapse test<\/strong> on a steel building specimen. This landmark experiment represents a significant step forward<\/strong> in understanding the behavior of structures subjected to extreme events.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The test simulated a highly demanding scenario<\/strong> involving the sudden loss of three columns, designed to replicate a severe structural failure condition<\/strong>. Despite the intensity of the event, the building did not experience a total collapse<\/strong>. Instead, a controlled and predictable response<\/strong> was observed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A clear segmentation mechanism<\/strong> developed during the test: while a portion of the structure underwent collapse, a substantial part remained stable and intact<\/strong>.
